Christian people typically hold to five traditions that comprise a worldview that shapes the nature of their beliefs. This philosophy may also contain characteristics that observers perceive as factors which, in fact, characterize a person as a Christian. The writing that follows is not intended to be a creed or the last word on the matter, but a consistent summary of Christian beliefs.
The first aspect of such a worldview is belief in one God, monotheism, and an over-riding love of the deity who is specifically responsible for all creation. With this as the foundation of a Christian worldview, for example, an individual's opinion of concepts that do not acknowledge God or that do not recognize the source of creation will lead to a lack of acceptance for those ideas.
The second factor in a Christian worldview is acceptance of Jesus as the son of God and the only salvation for humans, in the sense that Jesus is the path to everlasting life in heaven. In order to be a "Christian," the meaning of the term requires literal faith in Jesus as a personal savior. This affects an individual's worldview in several ways, primarily in the contexts of knowing that others who believe in Jesus are also saved, that those who reject this belief are not part of the church community, and that there may be a need for educating others about the Christian faith.

This question has been asked over and over again it is almost becoming a formula. The answer to this question has however never been clearly spelt out. Even the holy book itself cannot provide a clear answer on this. In fact it stresses that nobody has an idea on this issue. So the question still begs will Jesus return anytime soon?
Walk into any church today and it is almost a guarantee that you will be reminded that the Savior is coming back soon. The time frame referred to as soon however remains bleak. Nobody can give an exact answer on exactly how long or short soon is. Octogenarians of our time were probably told that He is coming soon during their early days.
Believers support their claims with teachings from the bible to validate their beliefs. The prophecies contained in their teachings are being fulfilled through events in the world today. Thus, believers have a reason to justify their belief.
Frequency of earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis and other natural calamities coupled with countries constantly being in war are the clearest signs of the end times according to them. The peak of the end time is obviously the second coming of the son of God who is to then deliver his people from all the evils in the world.
From a scientists perspective however, things are different. There is no end of the world and the second coming of the son of God is a fallacy. This is to be expected however knowing well enough that science and religion have never been bed fellows.
Scientists will always be at loggerheads with theologists as the fundamentals of the two disciplines are very different. Bringing them to terms is an uphill task. This brings us back to our question when will jesus return (http://www.churchofgodcolumbiana.com) ? You tell me.

He discovers himself in among strange men and he isn't sure who he can trust. The only person he hoped to be able to trust is actually a collaborator. All at once Jess's entire life becomes one of bewilderment and confusion.
Although many of us aren't in such a bad situation we deal with the same basic issue. How can we be sure who we can trust? Of course there are plenty of people out there that we can speak with. But who among them are dependable? It would be fantastic if they wore signs telling us their level of trust. Regrettably they don't.
When you find yourself in need of speaking to someone, either to convey something important or to discuss something a little delicate, who can you turn to? If you confide in the wrong person it could turn into a disaster. The person to whom you spoke might spread what you said. Or they could use it against you. There are so many things that can happen. That is why it is so risky.
The first thing you should do is contemplate carefully whether you are willing to take the risk at all. Possibly this a tidbit that would be better kept to yourself. You should think about your own motives for passing along the information. If your motives are tainted then you should be straightforward enough with yourself to admit it.
The second thing to decide is the motives of the other party. It is imperative that they don't have any interest in what you are going to reveal. Or, if they do, that their character is so Christ-like that they would do the right thing in spite of their own circumstances. It's too bad that these kinds of people are very hard to find. Though many hope to be trustworthy, they have either been betrayed themselves, or their own human nature gets in their way. They accidentally share in a weak moment what you've said in confidence. Applying a few simple tips on prayer can easily improve your prayer life. Below are my seven favorite prayer tips. I have applied and benefited from each one of them. So, I know from experience that each one lead to a better prayer life.
1) Schedule your prayer time. You can prayer anytime and anyplace, but having a set schedule is the key to consistency. If you don't have a set time, you are likely to only pray when time permits. Unfortunately, that approach usually leads to prayer getting squeezed out by other priorities. Instead, set your prayer time and then work other things around it.
2) Use devotional guides periodically. A devotional guide will expand your prayer life by exposing you to new ways of praying. Also, having a guide for your prayers can help you stay focused. If your mind wanders as you pray, a devotional guide can be a quick fix.

Have you ever been told to walk by faith, not by sight? Most of us have been told this for themselves. And it's a great desire, because the concept comes from the Bible.
The verse is written in 2 Corinthians 5:7, where the Apostle Paul is explaining our temporary home, which he says is the earth and our human body. He's likening it to the promise of eventually dwelling in heaven with the Savior and how great it will be. Paul is saying, "Yes, we know this idea is true but at times it's hard to believe it based on our earthly difficulties and circumstances." But he concludes that we all can walk by faith (what we don't see) instead of by sight (what we do see). We'd all agree that's what we should do. So how does that work?
Let's discuss 3 things that will make this clear for you. Today many people want clarity for their lives. They desire the course God has created for them and also learn how to make a real difference in this life. And others also want to understand how circumstances will turn out.

On the contrary, living by our faith at some point brings us right into circumstances that challenge our faith because things seem quite the opposite of the thing we desired. To recall Abram, he believed that God the Father would give him a son because God had so promised. Despite the promise, God waited until Abram was so old that he didn't have the ability to father a child!
In this situation, Abram had a decision. Would he give up walking by faith and go by sight, or was Abram going to believe God to accomplish His word to him? Regardless of Abram making some errors, much like most of us do, God's mercy ultimately came to pass. Abram trusted God and the rest is history. We've all had it happen before. Someone we know extends a promise to us and we have no reason to doubt they wouldn't complete it. But then they break their word.
It's not easy when others change their mind and let us down, and this affects our trust over time. If you don't watch out, this can also affect your willingness to trust God. So what can one do about it? We have to repair broken expectations from the past and choose to trust in Christ at all costs. Trusting in God is the only way to live by faith and not by sight. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Walking by faith demands that we put aside our understanding at times and trust in Him regardless. This can be difficult, but it's worth the risk. If you are in a situation at this time and you can't understand how it is going to get resolved, choose to trust in Him the best you can. He's faithful that you can muster and do inconceivable things. All that is required is faith the size of a mustard seed.
