Reasoning God's Word?

By James Fieldston

What comes to your mind when you think of Easter? Is it the Easter Bunny, pink eggs and white dresses? Contrary to popular opinion, Easter isn't about any of these things. Instead, Easter is about Jesus and what He did for us. christian clothing

The flesh is "a mindset or a way of thinking that contradicts the Word of God." It always operates through reasoning or through questioning that comes out of a heart of unbelief. It's not a sin to ask God a legitimate question; it's when you begin to question God's goodness and ability that you get into trouble. christian apparel

To not partake of the authority that rightfully belongs to you is to forfeit an important part of your salvation. In Mark 16:17-18 (AMP), Jesus says, "And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. " You have dominion over the enemy! That was one of the benefits that was purchased for you on Calvary.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). When you accepted Jesus as your Lord, you were adopted into God's family; resurrection power was imparted to your spirit. It is now up to you to draw that power out.

You show your true feelings when you say things like, "Why am I going through this?" or "I don't deserve to go through this. I sowed a seed on Sunday." You are blaming God for what is happening in your life. If you continue to talk this way, you'll eventually sever your faith connection altogether. You have to stop listening to the stack of bills that continually say, "I'm growing everyday." Instead, tune into the Word that says wealth and riches shall be in your house (Psalm 112:3). Instead of questioning the legitimacy of God's Word, take authority over your situation and claim what is rightfully yours!
