Imagination And The Power Of God

By Koko Ishe

Animals move only on instinct, they do not think as humans and this is our key to dominating the earth. If other animals had the ability to think as man does, we all would be in serious trouble. Jesus gave the children of men the power to rule over all the animals in the earth. The power is merely the ability to think at higher levels than our animal counterparts. This is why we go to the zoo and watch them and not the animals coming to watch us captured. It is based on our brains working with the spirit of God.

Using the imagination is what takes those special humans from being average humans. Imagination increases your faith in God when you understand the Word of God. It is the strength of the human mind. Imagination is where we can take facts and blend them with old ideas and bring new ideas to light. It is what innovation is made of, and it is what will allow us to understand the Word of God better. Good and positive use of the imagination is tapping into the Power of God. This was found in chapter 22 of Matthew's gospel in verse 29. Jesus informed the Pharisees that they did not know scripture (concerning that particular subject) and they underestimated the power of God. We underestimate the Power of God when we limit our imagination.

The Pharisees attempted to make Jesus look bad to the people; instead Jesus prevailed as always. There are scriptures we may read in the Bible that we simply cannot see happening in our modern world. This is when we have to harness the Power of God by thinking and using our imagination to bring the visual to us. The power of God and imagination are vital for the success of a Christian and non-believers. People cannot have a major purpose in life or the confidence to attain it, nor the leadership and initiative character unless they create the qualities needed in their imagination first. They have to see themselves doing such things first. You have to see yourself keeping the ways of Jesus Christ.

This takes understanding and tapping into the Power of God. We all probably used our imaginations more when we were kids. I use to play Michael Jordan one-on-one, I use to perform before millions like Michael Jackson, and I use to tell jokes before crowds of people. It was all in my imagination. I remember going to my computer and looking at photos of Paris France. Finally, at night or for a nap, I'd close my eyes and picture being their.

This is the power of imagination. When Jesus transfigured Himself and Peter, James and John, taking them to a high mountain, He took them into His Kingdom. If your imagination works well, Jesus just took you into His Kingdom and you also saw Moses and Elijah. The key is that you were there, we all have been shown Jesus' Kingdom and we have something to aim. The great prophecies of the Bible tell us about things to come. As Christians we should harness these great revelations. We should tap into the Power God is giving us to go into the future through scripture and through the use of our imagination.

The major conflict with the world we live in is that our minds are constantly being stripped from us. With that goes our imagination, one of the most powerful tools God Almighty has given us. We lack the understanding of the Power of God and the use of imagination, because if we really understood how powerful it is, we could use it as a weapon to wipe away poverty, misery, injustice, and persecution. All of this could be done is one single generation. While this may appear to be a broad statement, however, the scripture explains that this is exactly what Jesus Christ will do Himself. Jesus is God now, however when He was in the family of man He harnessed the Power of God to sustain.

We must put on the mind of Christ daily, and be like Jesus. Every thing you seek out to achieve in life can be attained, but you must first imagine it by creating it first in your mind. Even getting into God's kingdom will take the use of the imagination to bring it forward. You may face tough times in life, but your imagination, seeing yourself in God's kingdom will give you the strength to carry on and carry through. The power of God and the use of imagination is your key.
