Finding Faith In Global Spirituality

By Nichole Cunningham

Defining itself as a state of being, and not a religion is just a part of what sets global spirituality apart from the rest. Many are now seeing that they may be able to find a religious following that they can make sense of. This is not by any means a new movement, but it is definitely finding a rapid growth in followers.

One of the primary hopes is that humanity can find a common ground, and therefore not see as many reasons to find faults in one another. Culture, sexuality, race, and religion will no longer be what binds separate groups of people. A united human race is one of the ideas incorporated into this set of beliefs that is making it so popular.

The entire idea is to have respect for one another as human beings. There are no exclusions to this at all. This is a great part of why the following is increasing so rapidly. There is no horrible godly judgement looming over the heads of those who don't conform to what is expected of them based on the traditional religious paths.

Some members of other religious paths seem to take offense to the way other faiths are presented, primarily in the part that other religions are nothing more than some human beings interpretation of an experience that had a profound impact on them. The idea that every religion began within a particular tribe, or was something local that managed to spread throughout time is less disputed. This is where this particular movement seems to meet with a deal of friction.

The idea that someone who was nothing more than human read some ideas and organized them into a system of beliefs, or saw something happen and created a system of beliefs based on it, is not something that most are willing to believe. Those who are faithful to their religion believe that the deity of that religion is the one who created the belief system. Many become offended when presented with the idea that their entire system of beliefs could have been created by someone who was no more godly than them-self.

Respect for everyone is the entire basis. One of the greatest things about this path is that there are no exceptions. Due to this alone, the following that the movement has keeps increasing at a rapid rate. Many find it nice to think of a religion that allows them to be who they are without some impending judgement day.

Another reason for the rapidly increasing popularity is that the goal is to unite humans as one culture. The idea is to erase the lines drawn in the sand by separate cultures, differing sexuality, opposing religions, and different races. The lasting hope is that humans will begin to see each other as nothing more than human and find reasons to unite rather than reasons to fight.

All humans deserve to find a spirituality that they can be comfortable with and that allows them to be comfortable with who they are. There are guaranteed to be people and groups who argue about the validity of this spiritual option for a long time yet to come, but to those who find what they are looking for here it will always be non-consequential. Global spirituality (http://www.theaquarianhypothesis.com) will be the sense of spiritual correctness that many in the world are seeking.
