Theologians and ordinary people have been in such long-standing discussion about when is the rapture. Whether or not there are truths on Jesus' second coming, the tumultuous descriptions indicated in the Revelation can't be that horrible as promised by God himself. The Scripture sure speaks of what is likely to expect as pointed in the biblical view but events described ought not to be feared off that much.
Christ is filled with love and mercy. His second coming can never cause tremendous apprehension and fear. The biblical descriptions might have been pretty frightful, but in the end, those are just the products of people's terrible interpretation. These may be seen in the new and old testaments but it is He himself knows when really the world ends.
