The physical body is merely a body double with a spiritual body that contains chakras. The concept is from Sanskrit origins and translates to either a wheel or a disc. These centers of activity assimilate, express and receive life force energies. The energies represent spiritual, physical and mental functions. Engaging in chakra balancing leads to a point of emotional, spiritual well being. The main purpose is transmission of energies between nature, celestial entities, the universe and other relevant things.

It is stated in traditional writings that the body consists of eight thousand chakras; every body component is covered. While most are relatively small and insignificant, forty are relevant and situated in shoulders, hands, feet and fingertips.

The seven chakras of highest significance are located centrally from the base of the spine to the head. Situated within the ethereal body range they express spiritual and physical body embodiment. The hand provides key insight into every chakra. The wrist symbolizes the first, the second is the thumb, the third but the middle finger, the fourth the small finger, the fifth the index, the fourth finger the sixth and the palm defines the seventh.
