The Ten Commandments are a list of holy principles regarding God's rules on morals and honor. These religious beliefs serve a significant and important service in Judaism as well as almost all types of Christianity. The ten commandments advocate to adore the true God and to relax on the day of Sabbath. The Commandments also illegalize any sort of worshipping more than one god, adultery, heresy, crime and stealing. There are a bunch of versions of the list as they are considered and deciphered uniquely by the many different religious groups.
The Ten Commandments is alluded to a couple times in the Hebrew Bible. As told in the Exodus, God engraved them on two tables of stone and gave them on Mount Sinai to Moses.
It is unsettling how many Christians and Jews say they know The Ten Commandments though either don't know all of them or get them very incorrect. For your convenience we've written the list of the New Living Translation interpretation of the Ten Commandments List.
They are: 1. "Don't honor any other gods except me." 2. "Do not create idols of any type" 3. "Do not violate the name of your God" 4. "Do not forget to respect the Sabbath day by keeping it holy..." 5. "Love your mom and dad" 6. "Don't kill." 7. "Don't engage adultery." 8. "Do not steal." 9.
