The World Is Asking When Will Jesus Return

By Kerry Ross

When asked about the state of the world the average person may begin to reflect on all the things that are wrong. There may be mention of the climatic changes and how snow caps are melting, permafrost is disappearing, and some islands are on the verge of being completely submerged. There could be a focus on the economic state of the world. Countries are deeply in debt, the widows, youth, and elderly are struggling to find jobs, get decent healthcare, and meet their basic needs. The focus, for those who believe, can soon turn to wondering how soon will Jesus return.

Every person has a difficulty that they must deal with. For some it is financial. The stresses of trying to survive can become tough to bear. And this stress varies around the globe.

Some will meet these stresses when they can not go to a restaurant because it costs too much. Others can meet it if they do not have the ability to give at least a single meal to their families each day. Some tough times are the kind that go beyond finances.

Even billionaires have to deal with health concerns. All humanity has to deal with the death of loved ones. Eventually they shall deal with the impending death of themselves.

The disasters of war and hate tear through corners of the world, impacting the truly innocent much more than those who are considered guilty. The returning of Jesus to planet earth causes a cessation of the pain, suffering, injustice, and everything that is not right with the world.

One should be cautious that the focus is not simply on His return. Even speaking of His return can become a selfish and political act. One may assume that if they could not have their way the point that ends all other points would be talking about the returning of Jesus as if this step could finally prove them right in all they do. It could be spoken of as if, when it occurs, the people will be able to respond I told you so, or believe that those who disagreed with them finally got what they deserved.

The main desire should be to look internally. For it can be easy to overlook the fact that everyone has faults. The bible speaks of how everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Even the thought of the impending return of Jesus should cause the true believers to shine the light of justice first inwardly, rather than out to others. It should create strong convictions for a person to proverbially clean their own house before they tried to clean up the houses of others.

The doubt over will Jesus return (http://www.churchofgodcolumbiana.com) is mixed. There is much debate over when this return will occur. There have been many predictions that have come and gone. Whenever He does come it could be an honor to God that things are not as bad as they could be because each believer made sure their lights truly shone in the world.
