You see one of things that we must remember when the New Testament was being written is there was no New Testament, there is no canonization of the New Testament. The majority of it didn't get written for 40 to 60 years after the Messiah died. These letters start to circulate and become canonized and even many of them hundreds years after that.
In Timothy's writing, he states all Scriptures that God created were worthy for proof and doctrine and correction when it comes to righteousness. The only Scripture that he's talking about is the Torah and the prophets, the Old Testament, that's the sole scripture that exist and a few things i call them in our ministries I called them the dictionary. It is the only dictionary that they have when John, the most Jewish of all of the disciples says the Lord's Day, they can only be using the definition that he's accustomed to and the only time the word Lord's day or day of god is used in all of the Hebrew Scriptures is discussing theSabbath keeping and when the Messiah comes back.
John says this in Revelation as he says what he was about the Lord's day the very next thought that happens of that chapter is that he hears a voice at the sound of a trumpet and the Messiah is originating back on the feast of trumpets to create the Lord's Day. I don't think it's coincidence I think it is very likely that either it's about the seventh day, the Saturday, that he is on the Lord's Day or that he is actually been transported to the day of the Lord when the Messiah returns.
In 1 John 5:2, says this, "by this we realize that we love the children of God, once we love God, and keep His commandments. (Verse 3) "For this is actually the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his awesome commandments are not grievous." So we begin to see the same exact message again in Genesis: Don't eat from the tree of knowledge of good life, if you value me you'll do that law.
He says he chose Abraham because he kept the decrees, the ordinances, the commandments, as well as the instructions long before they were ever written down. Yeshua says the same thing, He says in order to enter an eternal life, keep My commandments. John states that if you love Yahweh, you will keep His commandments. It's the only method to prove that you do love Him is that if you keep his commandments matter of fact it even goes beyond that to the 21st century and to our thought processes and he says "by the way, you might be American Christians and I know you're going to be there someday."
His commandments usually are not burdensome and don't let anybody lie, however. They're not burdensome, you just never taught them. You are taught that they're grievous but if you continue them through faith they will bless the socks off of you together with that they had done for me for sure.
