How do we know that the 7th day continues to be Saturday? The answer to that real question is this: Because the Julian calendar was instituted in around 45 AD and was kept completely up to the 1500's, when the Gregorian calendar takes a place. All the disciple did was count to seven, there is never a debate on which day Shabbath is, it was always around the 7th day.
As a matter of fact, the strongest evidence that Shabbath is today on Saturday is always that every single Jewish group on the planet that believes in the 7th day Sabbath believes it's on Saturday. There isn't any debate; there are no groups which are keeping it on Monday. Seven is definitely on Shabbath. The days change as far as what you call them but the order of the days never change.
Will still be one of the most holy laws famous Judaism. You would think that they would obtain that right and they certainly have. So we can be rest assured and we know mathematically that Saturday is the 7th day.
Of course you will find questions on special cases like "what if I'm a doctor or I have to work or I'll lose my job, what should I do then? Well, here's what I tell people, these are all special cases. To begin with, it very important that you know this not an issue on salvation, you don't lose your salvation in the event you break the Sabbath keeping. But you will be accountable for it on judgment day. There are 2 forms of righteousness; there is righteousness of Yeshua that covers you and the blood gets you to the New Jerusalem, that's your ticket in. Then there's your righteousness of all of the things that you did on this earth, it of works that are opened up. This will be one of those works that we will be judge by. Do you know what, I'm not Yeshua, I can't tell you how to proceed.
All I can tell you is the thing that the scripture says and then there's this amazing entity called the Holy Spirit that was sent to instruct us, to teach us all things. This is a relationship and don't turn it into a check mark list.
What exactly I tell people is that this, if you are forced to work, you're a health care provider or you have to work today because you can't get another job then provide the money away. Give it to charity. Provide as an above and beyond of your local giving and offering inside your local congregation. Give t to a person that needs it, don't keep it yourself if you have to and that's the best answer I can come up with for that.
