And He Rested: Do Saints Keep The Sabbath?

By Jim Staley

If we are able to believe the majority of Christianity that we don't have to keep the Sabbath with the Bible because it's not specifically re-commanded in the New Testament, then how can we interpret John here as he says "keep the commandments of Yahweh" when there is no New Testament in those days to look through?

I am here to suggest to you that the Commandments of the first century are similar commandments of the very first century when Yahweh began and at the same very Commandments here today and that we need to take a look at these things and make sure that whatever Commandments we're keeping that that's where our love is. Are we keeping the commandments with the doctrines of men?

Are we doing things just because of tradition? Or shall we be doing things because that's what the Bible said to do.

Do Saints observe Sabbath keeping? In Revelation 14:12 says this "Here will be the patience of the saints: listed here are they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and hold towards the testimony of Yeshua. This is really important because what he's saying here those are in the book of Revelation, the fantastic tribulation, the beast actually goes after those who keep the commandments of

Yahweh and hold to the testimony of Yeshua. Not just the ones that believe in Jesus but those that keep the commandments, why? Because we've already determined that's the way you show that we love him.

Soul mates is doing what your father asked you to definitely do. I would even submit depending on my upbringing, the first time the commandments of God clearly range from the fourth Commandment of honoring the Sabbath around the seventh day. What about Romans chapter 14:5? Well let's process some of these verses: 14:5 says this, "One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind." is this the writer is saying? Is the author stating that literally? Is Paul proclaiming that out of one stroke of his mouth, he says "I uphold the law and I maintain the law" while Timothy says it's perfect and it's good, and it's worthy for many doctrine. Also, Is Paul switches gears literally 11 chapters later? He says there the Sabbath really doesn't matter you can choose any day you want. Are we to really feel that rabbi Shaul who started and studied under Ghamliel together the most of the entire Old Testament memorized sentence after sentence is telling us being a formerJewish rabbi that we can do whatever we would like, we can choose whatever Sabbath day we want?
