Why do International gospel ministries proclaim their faith to nonbelievers? Many countries and religions do not welcome their presence. The Great Commission was given by Jesus in Matthew 28.19-20, 'Go ye therefore and teach all nations ...'. Luke records Jesus sending out his disciples to make disciples of all nations.
The word 'gospel' means 'Good News'. The good news is that Jesus died for everyone's sins. The great wall of sin between man and God has come tumbling down. God is not angry at us. When he was raised from the grave he prepared the way for all to overcome physical death. Repent and accept Jesus as your savior to receive the eternal reward of heaven.
The primary goal of missionaries is evangelism. In keeping with the biblical command to care for others and to be a light unto the world, missionaries also provide humanitarian assistance to those in need. They provide direct assistance by providing food to the hungry and shelter to those without any. Some are advocates for social and economic justice.
A unique belief of Christians is that God searches for us, that he desires a relationship with each and every one of us. God is saddened by the existence of hell but it must exist if mankind is to have free will. It is a place where the light and salvation of God has been refused.
God desires salvation for all. The only way to receive salvation is through Jesus. The Bible says 'Faith comes from hearing the word of God, and how can they hear the word of God if no one tells them?' It is the goal ofinternational gospel ministries to tell them.
international gospel ministries (http://www.oracleofgodministries.net) are not limited to sending missionaries throughout the world although this is of course a crucial component of evangelism. The Word is also carried around the world via radio and TV broadcasts, distributions of Bibles and other religious materials, and correspondence courses.
